A researcher position for 2 years is available in the group of Ludvig Sollid at the University of Oslo/Oslo University Hospital.

The successful candidate will work in a project funded by the Research Council of Norway with a focus on transglutaminase 2 as a drug target in celiac disease. The main part of the project will be characterization of shed enterocytes sampled from the gut lumen of volunteers as well as assessment of gluten peptides analyzed in human feces samples to interrogate with immunological methods whether the peptides are deamidated. A smaller part will relate to a mouse model of celiac disease. The project will be undertaken in close cooperation with gastroenterologists at Oslo University Hospital. Ethical approvals for activities in the project are in place. The successful candidate should have a background in immunology and should have experience with cellular work and flow cytometry.

Kvalifikasjoner:

  • Ph.D. degree or equivalent in immunology or molecular medicine / biology
  • Experience with immunology
  • Experience with relevant experimental techniques: flow cytometry, PCR, DNA and RNA extractions, immunoassays including ELISA
  • Expirence with bioinformatics
  • Training in laboratory animal science: FELASA Function A+B+D accreditation
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a team as well as independently
