Höegh Evi is in the process of seeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a two-year engagement. The role will be based in Oslo and report to the VP Global Supply Chain.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Supply Chain Specialist to take operational responsibility for procurement activities and supplier contracts. This is a key role with responsibility for both strategic and operational procurement and logistics

The role reports to VP Head of Global Procurement and will work closely with internal stakeholders, local suppliers, customs agents, ship agents and global procurement functions to ensure efficient, compliant and cost-effective supply chain performance. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic procurement, operational procurement, logistics activities.
  • Manage and optimize supply chain costs through sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiations and framework agreements in line with the group SCM strategy.
  • Handle end-to-end operational procurement, including purchase orders, expediting, logistics coordination and follow-up.
  • Manage supplier relationships with focus on local suppliers, including performance follow-up and audits.   

Qualifications

  • Relevant higher education, preferably university or college level.
  • Approximately 4–8 years of relevant supply chain, procurement, logistics or importation experience.
  • Experience from similar roles within supply chain management, preferably in the maritime, offshore or energy sector
  • Strong knowledge of strategic and operational procurement.
  • Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of IFS is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of supplier relationship management, cost optimization and contract follow-up.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
  • Analytical, fact-oriented and commercially focused approach.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work effectively across functions and cultures.
