The interdisciplinary Hybrid Technology Hub (HTH) Centre headed by Prof. Stefan Krauss is located at the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences at University of Oslo and Department of Immunology, Oslo University Hospital with partners at the University of Glasgow (Prof. Nikolaj Gadegaard) and Imperial College, London (Prof. Molly Stevens). The overall objective of the HTH is to develop innovative microphysiological systems (www.med.uio.no/hth/english/).

About the position
HTH has a 6-month vacancy for an engineer to work on supervised morphogenesis in gastruloids, with the possibility of extension. Immediate start-up desired. The position is embedded in the European Innovation Council (EIC)-pathfinder project SUMO (supervised-morphogenesis.eu)

Kvalifikasjoner:

  • Completed master’s degree in biomedical sciences
  • Experience with advanced mammalian cell culture
  • Experience with 3D cell culture models
  • Experience with vascularisation cell culture models
  • Experience with cell purification techniques
  • Experience with flow cytometry, including spectral flow cytometry
  • Experience with sample preparation (cryosectioning and staining) and advanced microscopy techniques
  • Experience with standard molecular biology techniques including ELISA
  • Excellent written, oral and presentation skills in English
  • Personal suitability and motivation for the position
