Oslo University Hospital (OUH) is Norway’s largest hospital with over 20 000 employees. OUH is a local hospital for parts of Oslo's population. OUS is responsible for the majority of medical research and education of health personnel in Norway.
The University of Oslo (UiO) is Norway's largest research and educational institution with 28 000 students and 7 000 employees. Professional breadth and internationally recognized research environments make UiO an important contributor to society. The Faculty of Medicine was established in 1814 and is Norway's oldest medical faculty. The Faculty works for progressive education, research and dissemination for the patients’ and society’s best interests. It is organized into three basic units and has approximately 1 500 employees (about 1 000 work years) and about 2 000 students.
Two permanent positions as Senior Consultants (Neurology) are available at the Department of Neurology, Division of Clinical Neuroscience, Oslo University Hospital. The positions are affiliated with part-time positions as Adjunct Professor SKO 1013 /Associate Professor SKO 1011 (20 % position) in Medicine (Neurology) at the Institute of Clinical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, University of Oslo (UiO). It is required that the position holders attend both positions. Teaching and clinical activities may be scheduled within the different sections of Department of Neurology, currently located at Ullevål and Rikshospitalet.
Kvalifikasjoner:
Qualification requirements – education and relevant personal qualities
•Senior Consultant positions: Requirement for Norwegian specialist training in neurology and broad clinical experience.
•Applicants must be clinically active and have wide experience in clinical and/or basic neurological research.
•Norwegian health authorities demand a board certification issued in Norway in order to work as a neurologist in Norway. Applicants without a Norwegian board certification must present in detail how they will get a Norwegian board certification in due time.
•We are searching for ambitious candidates with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who enjoy a busy working environment, working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
•Personal suitability and good collaborative skills will be emphasized.
•Certificate of good conduct (if needed).
