Sales Capability Manager

Join our Sales Operations team as a Sales Capability Manager within the Sales & Marketing division in Kongsberg Maritime.

As a Sales Capability Manager, you will lead the development and enhancement of sales capabilities to drive continuous improvement in our sales organization. You will collaborate closely with the sales organisation to identify improvement opportunities, lead strategic initiatives, and optimize sales to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. This role involves close cooperation with sales leadership, training and development teams, and other key stakeholders to drive sales performance and achieve business objectives

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a sales capability framework and drive sales capability mapping
  • Develop and deliver on training and competence development activities
  • Coordinate and secure a structured and transparent training agenda and plan
  • Support the sales teams in securing tactical and strategic competence development goals
  • Provide data-driven insights to identify sales improvement initiatives and to support strategic decision-making
  • Own or support the delivery of sales improvement projects including effective change management

Qualifications and experience:

  • Education: A master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred. Relevant experience can compensate for formal education
  • Analytical skills: Proficiency in sales analytics and intelligence to drive data-driven decision-making
  • Instructional design: Experience in creating effective training programs tailored to the needs of the sales team
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Proven ability to provide guidance and support to sales team members
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with e-learning platforms, CRM systems, and other sales enablement tools
  • Cross-Cultural Communication: Skills in communicating and training a diverse, global sales team
