Researcher positions in cardiac pharmacology

Offentlig forvaltning

Department of Pharmacology, Division of Laboratory Medicine, Oslo University Hospital, has 2-year researcher positions available in the Cardiac Pharmacology Group led by Prof. Finn Olav Levy at Department of Pharmacology, Oslo University Hospital (https://www.med.uio.no/klinmed/english/research/groups/receptors-signalling-cardiac-pharmacology/index.html).

The group studies signalling mechanisms in normal and failing hearts with the aim to develop new treatment for heart diseases. We are looking for two highly motivated researchers with an interest in cardiac pharmacology and translational research. The candidates will work on a project to study potential new treatment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction. The project will involve work with animal models of heart failure, including in vivo and ex vivo experiments (researcher 1), as well as cell culture, chemical biology and early phase drug development (researcher 2).

The candidates are expected to collaborate with international partners and be prepared to travel.
