Researcher position in Neuroscience 100%, 1 year

A researcher position is available in the research group of Prof. Magnar Bjørås at the Division of laboratory medicine at Oslo University Hospital (OUH) Rikshospitalet). The position is for a project focused on modeling rare neurodegenerative diseases in brain and retinal organoids, as well as transgenic mouse models.

Kvalifikasjoner:

The candidate should hold a PhD in neuroscience or equivalent. 

The candidate is expected to have experience with culturing brain organoid protocols to assess the pathology of neurological disorders. The candidate should have solid expertise in immunohistochemistry and confocal microscopy of mouse brain tissue and human brain organoids. The candidate should also have some experience in working with neuronal cell cultures in monolayer and characterization by immunocytochemistry.  The candidate is also expected to have experience with writing scientific articles and grant applications, and communication of science to the public.


The position is funded for a period of 1 year, 100%. Preferred starting date is June 2022.
