Postdoctoral Position in Molecular Biology and Immunology

Offentlig forvaltning

We are looking for a highly motivated young scientist with a strong track record and a desire for conducting high-impact research in cancer immunotherapy.

The position is available for three years in the research group of Professor Mouldy Sioud at the Department of Cancer Immunology, Institute for Cancer Research, Oslo University Hospital-Radiumhospitalet. Sioud’s group has an extensive publication record, with over 208 PubMed-indexed articles covering diverse topics such as phage display technology, antibody engineering, RNA therapies, and cancer vaccines. For more details, visit http://https://ous-research.no/sioud/

The current project focuses on developing nucleoside-modified mRNA therapeutics for cancer immunotherapy, including cancer vaccines and antibody therapies. Specifically, we aim to explore how chemical modifications of mRNA affect translation efficiency and fidelity. The goal is to establish a molecular toolbox that enhances the efficacy and safety of therapeutic mRNAs (e.g., Sioud et al., Vaccines 2024, PMID: 38932353). The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to advance this project and potentially develop it into an independent research program.
