The Section for Medical ICT Research at the Oslo University Hospital has a fulltime Researcher Fellowship (http://www.ivs.no). This fellowship belongs to “research on Internet of medical things for human health – aiming to develop therapeutics”.  The projects involve a cross-disciplinary supervisory team from Department of Electronic Systems (IES), the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and Oslo University Hospital in addition to two international research groups in the USA and UK. The position will be with Prof. Balasingham's lab at the Oslo University Hospital - http://www.balasingham.com 

The project will be within the machine learning area of the Interne of Medcial Things, where the fellow will research and develop the following methods.  Privacy-preserving federated learning scheme for predicting survival time for patients with glioblastoma The project develops a novel privacy-preserving federated learning framework in which the model is trained in a distributed manner. At the same time, the data remains in the respective clinics/hospitals, ensuring privacy and data protection.

Kvalifikasjoner:


The qualification requirement is that you have completed a PhD in electrical engineering or computer scient with a strong academic background and publication track record. A minimum of 2 years of postdoctoral experience in IoT, machine learning, deep learning and federated learning with publications is needed.

Preferred selection criteria

Applicants who do not master a Scandinavian language must provide evidence of good written and spoken English language skills. The following tests can be used as documentation: TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English (CAE), or Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE).

 
Minimum scores are:

TOEFL: 600 (paper-based test), 92 (Internet-based test) 

IELTS: 6.5, with no section lower than 5.5 (only Academic IELTS test accepted) 

CAE/CPE: grade B or A.
