Applications are invited for a 3-year position as postdoctoral fellow to be based at the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Research Unit, Oslo University Hospital. The position is linked to the project Refining the autism spectrum using advanced brain imaging, genetics, and clinical phenotypes in youth, funded by the South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority. The project aims to increase our understanding of brain development and clinical characteristics in children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders and other mental disorders.
The project combines clinical characterization, brain imaging, cognitive tests, genetics and biomarkers, and builds on a close collaboration with the Norwegian Centre for Mental Disorders Research (NORMENT, http://norment.no) and the K.G. Jebsen Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disorders . The position will be integrated with the NORMENT Multimodal Imaging group.

Kvalifikasjoner:

  • Applicants must hold a doctoral (ph.d. or equivalent) degree in psychology, medicine or similar.
  • Candidates who will complete and defend their degree within the starting date will be considered.
  • Candidates with a Norwegian authorization as clinical psychologist or physician will be preferred due to the clinical assessments.
  • Prior experience with clinical studies as well as with clinical characterization and interviews of children and adolescents is an advantage.
  • Previous experience with study coordination including data collection and handling of participants is an advantage.
  • Previous experience with statistical analysis and programming (R, Matlab, python or similar) is an advantage.
  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in Norwegian is required due to clinical assessments.
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills (team player) is required.
