Job Description
The FMS Maintenance Officer will support key functions within Fleet Management, including Planned Maintenance (PMS), Marine Operations, HSEQ compliance, and Technical Documentation. This entry-level position is designed for fresh graduates in Maritime Studies or Seafaring disciplines who are seeking to build a shore-based career. The trainee will undergo structured training, gain hands-on exposure to fleet operations, and actively contribute to ensuring vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with regulations and Company standards.
- Review and validate the latest drawings, manuals, and reference documents related to the GADR conversion for accuracy and applicability in AMOS updates.
- Update AMOS with the latest approved drawings, manuals, and references associated with the GADR conversion.
- Maintain the integrity of AMOS data, including Component Types, Spares, Maintenance Plans, Functions, and Components.
- Ensure all GADR-related and other MIS tickets are processed, resolved, and accurately reflected in AMOS.
- Collect and review the latest technical drawings, manuals, and reference documents related to GADR conversion for accuracy and completeness.
- Update and maintain AMOS with approved data, ensuring consistency across Component Types, Spares, Maintenance Plans, Functions, and Components.
- Perform data validation and integrity checks within AMOS to ensure accurate system configuration.
- Coordinate with Project team, and onboard officers to obtain missing information or clarify discrepancies in documentation.
- Process and resolve GADR-related and other MIS tickets, ensuring timely updates in AMOS.
- Support the development and optimization of Planned Maintenance System (PMS) workflows and procedures.
- Generate reports and dashboards from AMOS to monitor progress and highlight data quality issues.
- Adhere to project timelines and support documentation standards for audit, handover, and future reference.
- Join GADR as required to conduct spare parts inventory projects, ensuring accurate spare part list and on hand count/ROB.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with onboard officers, shore managers, and other departments to ensure smooth communication.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies/Seafaring or in any related field
- At least 2-3 years of work experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic SQL; familiarity with AMOS or similar CMMS is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail in data structure, formatting, and validation to ensure integrity across equipment, spares, and maintenance tasks
- Able to organize files for traceability, follow documentation standards, and meet project deadlines.
- Proactive in suggesting process improvements and enhancing accuracy and efficiency in data handling
