Aftermarket Development and Strategic Concept Lead

Holdingselskaper

Are you ready to shape the future of sustainable energy solutions? As Aftermarket Development and Strategic Concept Lead in GCS Energy, you will play a key role in turning emerging energy concepts into scalable, commercially successful businesses. This is a unique opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution—transforming innovative ideas into long-term value.

In this role, you will define frameworks for new concepts, build strategic partnerships, and ensure readiness across the entire value chain. Some of the concepts you will own may be classified as confidential, requiring delicate processing and sound judgment in every step of development.

You will work across the organization, from early feasibility studies through delivery and lifecycle support, driving a few selected concepts into stable commercial operations. The position requires a systematic and self-driven leader who can balance strategy and execution, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver results that contribute directly to the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and own aftermarket energy concepts – drive initiatives from feasibility through commercialization and long-term operation.
  • Ensure alignment and delivery – secure milestone achievements from stakeholders and manage sub-projects effectively.
  • Evaluate partnerships and opportunities – assess potential with yards, supply chain, installation, data harvesting, and other strategic partners.
  • Balance capacity with market needs – evaluate organizational competence and capacity against opportunities and market potential.
  • Strengthen lifecycle readiness – contribute to Lifecycle Boards, bid meetings, and embed lessons learned into product and service improvement.
  • Safeguard competitiveness – ensure concepts achieve strong value chain performance and long-term commercial impact.

Key Experiences and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (or equivalent competence through experience).
  • Strong understanding of products, systems, functionality, and applications.
  • Project or onsite experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of hybrid electrical systems is an advantage.
  • Experience with partnership agreements and operational collaboration.
  • Strong customer and HSE focus.
  • Fluent in English.

Personal Qualities

  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Curious, flexible, and engaged.
  • Ability to motivate others and build new team capabilities.
  • Structured, analytical, and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to balance hands-on tasks with strategic work.

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
