The Role… Due to the new Government Kickstart Scheme we are looking for a 16-24 year old to join our team in Immingham as a Yard Maintenance Operative. This role entails maintaining high standards of tidiness and safety in and around the Immingham depot. Initial hours of work will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5.00pm, a degree of flexibility is required due to business needs. The successful candidate should be prepared to work with minimal supervision.

 

This is a fast-paced environment and will require the right person to hold basic IT skills, work to a busy schedule and meet tight deadlines, use a flexible approach to their work.

Responsibilities:

• Keeping the site clean and tidy.
• Assisting the warehouse and yard manager in general maintenance duties around the site
• Ensure all loose equipment is collected and stored in relevant places.
• Assisting with the control of trailers arriving in the yard and directing them to correct locations
• Assisting in the warehouse with load securing and general restowing when required
• Any other business requirements
