Aker Solutions' yard at Stord has a long and proud history. From a humble birth more than a hundred years ago, it has grown to be Norway's largest offshore yard. Aker Solutions has recently won several large contracts which will ensure high activity at the Stord yard for the upcoming years. Simultaneously, we are upgrading our facilities and investing in technology to ensure that we are well equipped to meet the challenges and demands of the future. As our main asset is our employees and colleagues, maintaining a high degree of motivation is a top priority. We are also proud to be recruiting a high number of apprentices every year.

We are now hiring a Yard Director. We are seeking a leader who is able and motivated to contribute, and to make sure we reach our goals. It is important that our Yard Director sees the value of being an active and engaged part of the local business community at Stord/Sunnhordland, and is able to understand and deal with both internal and external stakeholders. Our new Yard Director will play a crucial part in maintaining a close and well-functioning collaboration with both our projects, our other yards and locations, as well as the rest of the Aker Solutions company.

Our Yard Director will have the overall responsibility for the yard execution, the yard facilities and the resource governance. This includes both our employees and the hired-in resources. You will report to, and work closely with, the leader of all the Yards in the New Build segment in Aker Solutions.

Kvalifikasjoner:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree, within business and/or technical.
  • Experience from base organization management, as well as in-depth knowledge of our business, project implementation and delivery models.
  • Leadership track record in large scale business cross geographies/multi-cultural experience, preferably held a PM/PD role in an EPCI project.
  • Proven leadership experience according to company values and leadership principles.
  • Ability to see the “big picture “– and understand the expectations of key stakeholders both in the organization and toward local community.
  • Strategic and analytic, with financial and commercial acumen.
  • Focused on change and change management – ability to identify, implement and embrace change.
  • Service and performance focused – deliver as promised and be able to handle several interfaces.
  • Cultural awareness – being able to work in a global environment and communicate well with all levels in the organisation.
  • Internal credibility across the various business segments in the company and recognized internally as a person with a deep understanding of the industry and business.
  • Act as a leadership role model engaging and motivating the workforce.
  • HSSEQ role model.
  • Participate and be involved in various representative roles toward community, Industrial relations and be Aker Solutions best representative in those typical roles.
  • Fluency in norwegian. Excellent english skills.
