About the role

The main responsibilities for the Middleware team are in Active Directory, Certificates/PKI, DNS and DHCP – the technologies that run behind the scenes to bind systems together, and make our environment run smoothly. We would like for you to have experience from a similar role on a large IT environment - or perhaps you feel ready to take a step further in your career.  The role of a technical lead for the Middleware team in Data Centres is to drive and coordinate the team's priorities and be the link between the team (currently 3-4 colleagues) and your manager. The person we are looking for should have a broad technical skillset, whilst also find the act of guiding other SMEs to be interesting and fulfilling. 

At DFDS you will be:

• Helping in other directory services 
• Managing our IPAM system (DNS & DHCP) 
• Azure AD 
• Authentication & Authorisation Systems 
• Certero 
• Provide 2^nd- and 3^rd-line support of all above 

About you

We imagine that you have several years of practical experience with infrastructure in a medium to large enterprise and demonstrated proficiency deploying and maintaining Microsoft core technologies. Furthermore, this position requires continuous awareness of emerging technologies in relation to cloud services and alternative technologies, as DFDS are moving with the trends in technology towards a hybrid and multi-cloud setup. 

The ideal person for this position will have the following qualifications:   

• Solid experience Active Directory, Certificates/PKI, DNS and DHCP
• Solid experience as a Windows System Administrator or Engineer 
• Good experience with scripting and automation in PowerShell 
• Good all-round TCP/IP knowledge 
• Knowledge about infrastructure architecture design is preferable 
• Experience with standardized processes based on ITIL best practice

• You can bridge the gap between people and systems with good communication and interpersonal skills
