Well Test Specialist

Job Summary:
DNO is now seeking an experienced well test specialist to work on call. Supports testing team as required in preparation of well testing Operations.
Key Responsibilities:
HSSE
- Promotes compliance with DNO Policies and standards.
- Participates in HSSE and nonconformance event investigations and reporting as required.
- Conducts safety audits.
Planning and Operations
- Provides day to day well site management during well test operations to deliver the safe execution and delivery of well test objectives in accordance with policy, procedures and HSE.
- To ensure each job operates with a competent crew and reliable equipment.
- To identify hazards, risks for each individual job.
- He/she will work closely with the project's various stakeholders and with the contractors and service companies, to ensure the safe and successful implementation of all well test operations.
- Supervise site-based activities ensuring safe operations during all operations
- Promote behavioral safety culture and safety reporting systems at the Well Test Sites
- Maintain equipment standards to match our client's own Well Testing standards and relevant industry standards
- Develop equipment design and layout plans with Well Testing Service Contractor
- Organize HAZID, HAZOP and Test Well on Paper Reviews and document findings
- Develop SOPs, identify risks, implement lessons learned
- Finalize Well Testing and Clean Up Programmes
- Supervise Well Test Equipment preparation and mobilization with Service Contractor ensuring appropriate certification records
- QA/QC data acquired during operations and validate information
- Develop lessons capture system appropriate for operations and utilize captured lessons to help drive continuous improvement
- Promote and conduct operations review meetings to assess operations performance and help deliver future improvements
- Monitoring and reporting on the performance of all wellsite well engineering and well services personnel
- Plan preventative maintenance procedure and schedule, and any repair of surface test equipment.
- Attends and actively participates in the HAZOP meeting.
- Ensure equipment SOPs, JSAs, and MSDS are complete and available to crew.
- Ensure equipment certificates are available, and collect certifications as required.
- Perform and actively participate in all required safety meetings, JSAs and walk around/shift handover.
- Monitor equipment controls and instrumentation, record test data and verify data quality for engineer/client's use.
- Supervise and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Perform operations as per SOPs and ensure crew is aware of correct safe operations.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 15 years well testing field experience.
- Fluent in English both written and spoken.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to establish good working relationships with team.
- Valid Well Control certification.
- Extensive experience in supervision of land well test operations with operating companies.

- Understand and apply relevant math calculations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
The role reports to Well Services Operations Manager and will be based in Kurdistan Site. The work schedule will be ad hoc 2-3 weeks every quarter (or about 12 weeks over 1 year). The role will be a 3rd party consultancy arrangement via a manpower agency assigned by DNO.
