Vice President Sales OPU

An exciting opportunity as Vice President Sales Offshore Production Unit is now available in the Global Sales & Marketing division in Kongsberg Maritime, reporting to Senior Vice President, Offshore Energy.

The position is responsible for the sales operation and order intake in the market segment for sales of products and integrated solutions designed for the Oil & Gas production units and relevant emerging industries.  To succeed in this role you should have extensive experience within the market segment and ability to further develop an established network of clients, yards, engineering companies and relevant key stakeholders. 

The energy sector is experiencing strong growth and development in FPSO, FLNG and renewable markets. Market intelligence and understanding the clients requirements is important for us to meet the expectations and enable Kongsberg Maritime to achieve its targets. You will lead the development of a strong external network of sales representatives which is part of our strategy to gain higher market shares. Working efficiently across our business in KM is key, as the sales team will be interfacing and collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders and colleagues.

Key accountabilities

  • Develop sales strategy, sales plans and pipeline targeting growth for designated team and portfolio
  • Drive sales growth on current and new customers within the portfolio and segment
  • Build a strong KM Sales organization for the OPU segment, with focus on products- and integrated solutions project sales
  • Order Intake and Cost Budget responsibility for the OPU segment.
  • Develop a sales culture according to our values and sales behaviors as well ensure the appropriate competence is in place

You will be part of the Offshore Energy sales leadership team and your contribution into maximizing the performance of the team will be important.

Qualifications and experience

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or equal
  • You have several years of sales and marketing experience in relevant markets and be able to demonstrate a successful sales record.
  • Experience with sales of process automation- and safety systems, electrical systems, and E-house with good knowledge of propulsion and mooring systems is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and persuasive skills are required, as well as strategic thinking, analytic and with negotiation mindset.
  • Proven record of leadership experience is required, including the ability to enable teams work effectively and collaboratively across a matrix organization
  • Ability to lead and operate in and across diverse teams and cultures

Work location
Kongsberg, Norway, is the main working location. Home office and/or alternative office seating location can be discussed.
