An exciting opportunity has arisen as Vice President Projects.  In the important role as Vice President Projects, within the Deck Machinery and Motion Control division, we are looking for an experienced and ambitious person with experience in the management of projects of increasing complexity related to delivering on time, cost, quality and specification.

The VP Projects leads a team of project managers that is accountable for the customer delivery projects within the product lines Steering Gears, Anchoring and Mooring winches and Towing winches.In the role , you will take an active part and a leading role in defining and realizing the setup, processes and tools needed for KM to improve, grow, and succeed in tomorrow’s maritime market.

Key accountabilities

• Lead and develop the project management team across multiple locations in Norway, Finland and Asia
• Through the team, deliver project portfolio, to the agreed quality, on time and budget
• Ensure efficient resource utilization and development of people
• Manage and control the orderbook delivery schedule, revenue, margins and risks
• Represent the business both internally and externally
• Contribute in the SG&AMT Business Unit management team
• Create a diverse and innovative environment through transformational leadership and with a focus on team/individual development

 

Qualifications and experience

• Relevant Bachelor or Master Degree, preferably within engineering or business management
• Experience within project management of customer delivery projects. If you have experience from the marine industry it is and advantage
• Good financial and commercial understanding / experience with budgeting and customer negotiation
• Experience from team leadership/management is an advantage, but we are also looking for you who aspire to be a leader
• Good communication skills in English, bot written and spoken
