We are looking for a Vice President to join our Business Growth team at Kongsberg Maritime. You will help us shape the maritime future by finding and pursuing new opportunities in the ocean space. You will work with various internal and external partners, evaluate and prioritize potential projects, and present business cases to senior executives. You will also lead teams to implement approved projects and provide expert guidance on specific markets, value chains or technical domains.

 

You should be able to handle complex and strategic projects that may affect the future of our business. You should know how to use different tools to assess and justify growth opportunities. You should also be familiar with M&A and partnership processes, and have experience in delivering large-scale, complex business transformation or development projects.

Key accountabilities

• Identify, evaluate and construct business cases to support investments in emerging growth prospects
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams in the pursuit of high impact business growth initiatives
• Provide expert advice to support strategic decision-making across a diverse range of market segments, value chains and technical domains
• Actively engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including senior-level executives
• Facilitate the realization of sanctioned business growth initiatives into operation
• Support inorganic growth strategies through M&A and partnership activity

 

Qualifications and experience

 

• Qualification in business administration preferable, although those with a technical or finance background will also be considered
• Experienced industry leader with strong business acumen, expert project management capability and demonstrated collaboration skills
• Expert familiarity with specific market, value chain or product technical domains
• Embodiment of the Kongsberg values: Determined, Innovative, Collaborative & Reliable
• Demonstrated general leadership skills
• Good communication skills with ability to reach out to a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
