Based at the Lucey Transport site, which is now part of the DFDS Family, we are looking for colleagues to join us on our journey as we grow our business.  With this change, we’re looking for a Transport Planner to join us.

Flexibility is key with this role as we need you to work any 5 from 7 days, covering 3 shifts.  The early shift starts at 05:30am, the mid-shift starts at 12pm and the late shift starts at 4pm.  You’ll be on a rota basis so if you’re looking for a role to fit around commitments outside of work, this could be ideal for you.

You’ll be managing key customer deliveries and naturally the essential duties for each shift will vary – great if you like a variety of activities within your role.  With the early shift you’ll be working from a live plan and adapting any deliveries should there be any issues with drivers’ routes.  You’ll need to be able to react quickly and calmly in changing plans at the drop of a hat. 

During the mid-shift you’ll be forward planning and setting up the delivery schedule for the following day, so you’ll need to be able to read and interpret the deliveries required and schedule them according to location and time.  And during the evening shift you’ll be focussing more on our systems where you will be adding jobs according to customer requirements.  You’ll also be supporting the night drivers and planning the back loads.
