An exciting opportunity has arisen as Technician at our site in Ulsteinvik in Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will be a part of the Rim Drive Assembly & Test team, responsible for the manufacturing of Rim Drive Thruster components.

Rim Drive Thruster manufacturing includes of new and advanced technical solutions which you will be involved in daily. Tasks include several disciplines, such as polymer casting, composites, and automated assembly. As a Technician you are enthusiastic about our products, eager to learn about new technology, proactive by nature and have high standards for both quality and safety.

Key accountabilities

• Manufacturing of Rim Drive Thruster components
• Have a high focus on safety through actively contributing to improve our ways of working
• Take part in establishing new production capability and development of new processes
• Keep detailed documentation records, and proactively work to achieve quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvements within the department and in Kongsberg Maritime

Qualifications and experience

• Trade certificate (fagbrev)
• Preferably forklift and overhead crane (G4/G11) certificate
• Experience with manufacturing of large mechanical assemblies Is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Experience with polymer casting is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Experience with automation and robotics is an advantage, but not a requirement
