We are now looking for a Technical Support Engineer within Automation or Hydraulic Mechanical. The team is responsible for supporting our vast range of handling equipment within the segment’s fisheries, anchor handling, tug, supply and position mooring. In this role, you will use your strong knowledge in deck handling equipment and operations to support our customers. You will work with handling the systems on sailing fleet and in our workshop. With your high customer awareness and strong ability to translate customer needs, you will be an important contributor to our projects.

Our Deck Machinery and Motion Control division owns, develops and delivers world class handling solutions, with focus on system solutions and integration driving increased efficiency in our customers' operations. The division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritime’s winches and handling solutions.

Key accountabilities

• Technical Support for vessels operating within our deck machinery portfolio
• Remote support to our customers
• Support service engineers with technical advice during service jobs and commissioning of our equipment
• Participate in 24/7 customer support duty phone arrangement approx. every 10th week
• Spares identification and support
• Contribute in developing the handling systems for the future
• Support our sales organisation with technical solutions and offers for customers

Qualifications and experience

• Good knowledge of deck handling equipment and maritime operations
• Relevant technical knowledge within Automation, Electrical systems or Hydraulic Mechanical
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems (High Pressure & Low-Pressure Hydraulics) is an advantage
• Practical experience from service is an advantage
• Fluent in English and Norwegian, verbally and in writing
