Höegh Evi is in the process of hiring a Technical Superintendent. The Technical Management department team has the overall technical and financial responsibility for the vessels managed by Fleet Management.

The Technical Superintendent reports to VP Technical Management.

Job Description

The Technical Superintendent ensures efficient, cost-effective and safe technical operation and performance of the vessels.

Key responsibilities 

• Promote and adhere to company’s goal of Zero harm to people and environment.
• Manage day-to-day technical operation and performance of assigned vessels.
• Ensure compliance with class, statutory and other local and third-party requirements.
• Develop, monitor and control operating expenses.
• Manage dry-docking and renewal afloat.
• Ensure that the technical condition of vessels is adequately maintained throughout its lifetime.
• Undertake appraisal reviews of vessel Masters, Chief Engineers and other key personal of the onboard team.
• Conduct technical inspection and visits of assigned vessels.
• Ensure correct understanding and use of the maintenance system, onboard reporting systems and adherence to company procedures.
• FSRU re-gas commissioning management.
• Actively support, build trust and improve cooperation with shipboard management.
• Prepare and recommend technical management strategy and improvements.

 Qualifications

• Education and work experience within maritime industry or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience from maritime industry.
• 2-3+ years of seagoing experience as Chief Engineer or as Technical Superintendent on gas carrier / FSRU is an advantage.
• Fluency and proficiency in both written and spoken English.
• Have a holistic approach with a good understanding of the shipboard processes and Safety Management System.
