An exciting opportunity has arisen as Technical Lead Engineer - Energy Storage. In this role, you will have the technical responsibility on Energy Storage product deliveries. You will be a part of a collaborative environment interfacing with several different departments and functions. You will be a part of the division Integrated Solutions who is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg's Automation, Bridge Systems and Electro products and solutions. The business unit, Energy Products & Engineering, provides a complete portfolio of electrification, drives -and energy storage products for marine applications.

As a part of the industrialization process of our product line, the Energy Product Engineering Department shall develop a streamlined process of Engineering to Order/Configure to Order on Energy products, ensuring on time delivery to the right cost and quality.

 

Key accountabilities
• Preparation of project documentation according to regulations and customer requirements
• Verification and control of technical documentation and drawings as well as documentation follow-up
• Monitor fabrication and test progress on Energy Storage System deliveries
• Technical RFQs for relevant product
• Engineering planning (Cost, Time, Resources) and reporting on ESS deliveries
• Responsible for fabrication cost across project deliveries – material, test, class, hours
• Proactively work on improvements around procedures, fabrication and testing of ESS
• Lessons learned and continuous improvement projects based on feedback from fabricator and service
• Provide technical reference / guidance to equipment suppliers, internal departments and customers
• Technical support to service for products in operation

Qualifications and experience
• Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical engineering or another relevant field of technology. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education
• Experience with technical project management
• Experience with energy storage, preferably within marine power electric systems
• Knowledge of relevant industry standard, classification rules and flag states
• Fluent oral/ written English communication
