Tech M&A Lead

The position is part of the Technology and Innovation Division (T&I) of DFDS, where you will get a direct, transparent, and empowering manager who welcomes challenges and encourages continued learning.

 

Driving the technology M&A agenda and deliverables in DFDS

We are a true integrated logistics provider operating in Europe and the Mediterranean with offerings in land based logistics, passenger transport and goods shipment.

In the role as Tech M&A Lead, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Play an active role in large, complex regional & global projects throughout the M&A life cycle; including early discovery, due diligence, requirements definition, planning, development, testing, training, assessing operational readiness, change management and ongoing support
  • Lead the mobilization of functional teams and work closely with our T&I teams, regional leadership and IMO participants to ensure fit with the target operating model and design the integration plan
  • Lead discussions on resources, technical design and solution definition within the DFDS organization
  • Establish effective relationships with key stakeholders in the relevant T&I teams as well as those within the organization of the acquired company
  • Advance corporate knowledge on M&A best practices and document lessons learned through continued buildout of integration playbook and associated artifacts
  • Identify PMI related risks and take ownership for developing mitigation plans
  • Encourage personal development in your team and ensure a proactive approach towards challenges

t is essential that you are experienced in working with big and complex projects involving many stakeholders across functional and technical areas.

We are looking for a strong problem solver that has a solid toolbox and is both driven and ambitious. M&A integration experience is a must and we also expect that you are a curious individual, good at asking questions or challenging the status quo.

Moreover, the ideal candidate is structured, a highly organized planner able to manage your own time while providing guidance according to critical priorities. We also weigh that you are a great communicator that has proven experience of interacting with senior stakeholders in an organization.

Additionally, we expect that you have the following skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience with M&A integration and programme management, with IT M&A focus (IT DD, D1 planning, IT PMI, IT carve-out)
  • Strong background in the following technical disciplines: IT Operating Model, Enterprise Architecture, IT Architecture, IT infrastructure, IT Operations and Data Management
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the M&A lifecycle
  • Practical experience from every part of the M&A lifecycle
  • M&A Certification (M&A Leadership Council, Pritchett, etc.) is a benefit
  • A proven track record of: PMO & IMO Leadership, Strategic & Operational Planning, Change Management, Leadership, Process Optimization & Programme Management
  • Ability to prioritize project team efforts and move quickly and decisively between competing tasks
  • Strong analytical and creative skills and the ability to challenge conventional thinking
  • Practical experience in leading and facilitating change processes, interactions and workshops engaging and co-creating with key stakeholders
  • Collaborative, supportive and solution focused approach in differing situations
  • Experience with complex problem solving, delivering insights and providing recommendations
  • Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management and presentation skills
