Assistent- Learning Support position at Primary Years Program Manglerud skole, International Classes
Manglerud skole is located at Manglerud, a twelve-minute ride by public transport form the city centre of Oslo. Arbeidsoppgaver:

Tasks/ Arbeidsoppgaver
Create an inclusive environment for students who need extra support (social, emotional, academic or medical)
Collaborate with teachers and greater learning team to create structures and activities to support student's development and learning
Actively engage in play and learning activities to foster a culture of learning in-and outside of the classroom
Create and build relationships with students across all year levels
Be on duty during breaks and commit to help students solve conflicts
Observe students and follow up on behaviour, check in and support accordingly
Communicate with parents on student progress and development
Be flexible and take initiative to adjust to the needs of the students 

Kvalifikasjoner:

Requirements/ kvalifikasjoner
Work permit in Norway/EU
Previous work experience with students, preferably students with special needs or challenging students
Good English speaking skills
Knowledge of or willingness to learn about IB/PYP

Desired but not required degrees at a bachelor level within childcare, school social work, special needs, barne-og ungdomsarbeider, or similar.

Desired degrees at bachelors level
Team Player and ability to coordinate with others
Good communicator proficient in English and Norwegian
Desired international working experience- or international workplace
Experience working with children whose native language is not English
Comfortable setting limitations, clear expectations and following through, dependable and consistent
Flexible in working conditions to meet the needs of students and support a larger learning team
Desired knowledge of conflict resolution methods
Suitability to fulfill the position- personal qualities will be weighted
