Are you interested in working with solutions for remote controlled and autonomous vessels? An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen within the Ship Intelligence, Remote Operation Solutions team in Turku as a Systems Architect. In this role you will be part of systems engineering and systems integration activities for Kongsberg Maritime Remote Operation Solutions. The role is required to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the system engineering related topics are properly applied throughout the product development cycle.

 

You will be playing a vital part in the pioneering team creating ground-breaking solutions for our customers.

Key Accountabilities

• Architect design related to remote operation centre software, hardware and integration

• Evaluation of alternative designs and off-the-shelf system elements, and feasibility of technical solutions. In addition, the System Architect actively influence product road mapping

• Continuously searching and selecting best technologies/partners for hardware and software systems related to Remote Operation Centre architecture development
• Participate in implementing projects

Key Experiences and Qualifications

• Relevant M.Sc. or B.Sc. in engineering, technology or other suitable area, or equivalent technical capability based on practical knowledge and experience
• Critical thinking skills to develop and present technically detailed and complex systems
• Agile, pragmatic and iterative work approach for short feedback loops
• Global perspective and open to different challenges, cultures and ways of operating
• Positive mindset and out of the box thinking
• Team player with excellent verbal and written English communication skills

Desired additional skills

• Experience in MBSE
• Knowledge about maritime industry and marine type approval certification
• Finnish and Swedish/Norwegian communication skills
