About the Unit

Yara Porsgrunn is a major production site for Yara International ASA. The plant manufactures more than three million tons of fertilizer yearly in addition to various products for industrial applications.

The plant has three production areas; Ammonia, Nitric Acid and NPK/Calcium Nitrate.

Yara Porsgrunn has an annual turnover of about 7 billion NOK.

The Technical Department has 20 employees working in various technical diciplines.

The Process Data Team has the responsibility for Distributed Control Systems, Safety systems, production IT infrastructure and IT security at Yara Porsgrunn.

In order to strengthen the team we are now looking for a Systems Engineer. You will report to the Prosess System Manager.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that maintenance, projects and modifications are implemented according to Yara safety, etchical, environmental and quality standards as well as Governmental regulations
• Act as or assist the system responsible for our Foxboro or DeltaV systems and keep the system up to date
• Develop process control applications to improve safety, capacity and regularity of our processes
• Do operational support
• Ensure production IT Security in the plant environment
• Conduct risk assessments
• Be member of the incident response team for production IT-security

Profile

• MSc / BSc in Automation, Industrial IT, cybernetics or equivalent
• Min 5 years of experience with DCS projects, automation projects or control system maintanance
• Strong knowledge about the Foxboro I/A DCS or the DeltaV system.
• Experience with both systems is an advantage.
• Takes initiative and demonstrates "hands-on" attitude
• Fluent in English and one Scandinavian language
