System as Service Manager - AUV

Our AUV footprint is growing, and we are looking for a System as Service Manager to run the rental operation for AUV systems with dedicated resources.

You will be part of the Marine Robotics, who create, design, and build autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and autonomous unmanned surface vessels (USVs) that can explore from the sea surface and down to 6000 meters below. Our vehicles can operate alone for days and weeks at a time, gathering information about the seafloor, the water, and objects in or on the water. We create and integrate advanced sensors for information gathering, maritime navigation, and communication. 

In this role you will be responsible for a team of highly skilled engineers, logistics of our AUVs in a global company and operations to ensure sustainable growth in line with our strategies and objectives.

Key accountabilities

  • Manage the System as a Service department and collaborate with all stakeholders to achieve agreed objectives and targets. This include managing a team of engineers and assign duties, report department invoiceable and manpower utilization/hours.
  • Overall responsibility for SaaS projects during all stages with objective to achieve desired result that meets or exceeds customer expectations.
  • Assist Sales Managers in tender a contract stage and provide support as and when required. Participate in sales exhibitions, seminars, conferences, and customer events/meetings.
  • Collaborate with different departments in support the overall business
  • Ensure equipment inventory is correctly maintained, tested and a skilled team are prepared and available to support operations.
  • Maintain a high level of product and application knowledge on AUVs.
  • Responsible for annual budget, regular forecasts and input to strategy.

 

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor education or some years equivalent experience in AUV operations and service is an advantage.
  • Experience with sales, commissioning, test or maintenance of electronics and mechanics asset.
  • Sales experience within AUVs is an advantage
  • Previous project manager experience is an advantage, but we are also looking for you who aspire to be a manager
  • Fluent in English, bot spoken and written
