The Supply Chain Manager, Canada will be responsible for sourcing, partnering with and working with suppliers in the US & Canada region. The successful candidate will build relations with partners & suppliers with a focus on what Kongsberg needs to do to compliantly deliver government programs.

Key Accountabilities

• Sourcing for KM projects in the Americas region to comply with Canadian ITBs, Buy American and other local requirements
• Working with KM Product Centres to ensure correct requirement setting for suppliers including budget setting
• Working with KM Product Centres and local KM Service Operations Locations to determine KM capabilities to meet local requirements
• Vendor selection. Vendor management & Vendor Auditing (particularly for KPIs and requirement flow downs).
• Building and maintaining vendor relationships
• Establishment and management of Small Business Management Plan when necessary

Qualifications and Experience:

• 4 year degree preferably in Engineering or Business Management. PMP Certification or Equivalent
• 4-10 years experience Supplier Management is essential
• Shipbuilding & Operations Industry Knowledge is essential
• US government contracting experience preferred
