As our Supply Chain Director for Elkem Silicon Products (ESP), you will be responsible for the development of the global ESP Supply Chain organizational structure and processes. This is a new position in a newly merged division, and organizational development is therefore a priority. You will have the opportunity to define the strategy, set the direction and build your team, in line with the strategy and goals of the division. It will be important to find your position in our matrix structure and establish a good collaboration with neighboring functions and disciplines. You will become part of a solid, yet future-oriented corporation with ambitious goals for innovation, sustainability, and growth in future markets.

 

Most important areas of responsibility:

• Develop the global ESP Supply Chain organizational structure and processes with focus on customer experience and cost position
• Build a strong, dedicated and professional Supply Chain ESP team
• Develop and follow up Supply Chain cost improvement initiatives across the ten ESP business areas
• Be a driving force for demand and supply chain planning, customer service and the establishment of marketing strategies and customer programs
• Be an active change agent to improve the use of optimal logistic solutions
• Ensure good interfaces with other departments and functions to ensure high quality of delivered services
• Member of ESP Sales Management team and Corporate Supply Chain management team

 

Qualifications required for the position:

• Higher degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent at University level
• Minimum 5 years' management experience in a global Supply Chain environment
• Experience from a group business environment, preferably from manufacturing / process industries
• Fluency in English
• Strong IT literacy and experience with ERP systems and leading logistics systems

The position reports to VP Sales in the ESP division. 

The work location will be Oslo, Kristiansand or Ridderkerk near Rotterdam, depending on the preferences of the candidate. Some travelling is to be expected.
