An exciting opportunity has arisen as Supplier Quality Engineer! In this role, you will be a part of the Supply Chain team within Automation and Control division.
Reporting to our Quality Manager you will have to assess our external supply chain capabilities to optimize the manufacturing.

Key accountabilities

• Work in Supplier Development team in Automation and Control division (also supporting Integration and Energy).
• Work closely with category managers, product owners, engineering teams, and assembly team to align on product quality, manufacturability, and process improvements.
• Maintain and develop strong relationships with suppliers
• Develop poor performing suppliers
• Facilitate major quality investigation
• Work with suppliers to verify compliance with Kongsberg  requirements
• Contribute to improvement of requirements, tools and reporting.
• Build relationship with internal and external stakeholders to effectively reach goals.

 Qualifications and experience

• Relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering or Quality (at least 5 years)
• Experience of new product introduction, process revalidation and quality improvement.
• Degree in engineering in Automatic Control, Robotic, Electronic, Electric or other relevant field
• Major experience with minimum two of:
• EMS
• Navigation
• Energy Storage Solutions
• Energy Products
• IT HW/SW
• Electro-mechanical
• Visual and Control
• In depth understanding of relevant manufacturing processes and their quality & cost drivers
• Audit predispositions, knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001, 45001.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to travel internationally.
