Sourcing Specialist

About the Role:
The Procurement department is a strong integrated partner to the business, and we want to ensure that we can continuously support our company growth and its strategy within sustainability, digitization, and standardization, with a broad exposure to the whole organization, as a Sourcing Specialist you will have the opportunity to impact the development of these strategies in collaboration with the procurement team.
The right candidates will be supporting the development of a strategic vision for specific categories in collaboration with the Head of Department, Category Managers, and stakeholders across the business. The Direct and Indirect Procurement team cover multiple categories such as Technical Marine, Ports and Stevedoring, Logistics & Equipment, Indirect, Onboard and Travel Retail. Depending upon your skills, background, and interest you will support some of these categories.
Key Skills & Competencies Required:
• Leading the preparation and executing negotiations in cross-functional teams
• Finalize frame agreements with selected suppliers.
• Drive analytical insights.
• Support in creating, running, and analysing tenders and visualizing tender results.
• Facilitate meetings with strategic suppliers and drive Supplier relationship Management, where applicable
• Act as a professional integrated partner to the business and challenge the status quo.
• Build a strong network both internally in DFDS and externally with suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Ensure adoption of tools and systems such as the Spend Management system, Contract Management system, e-Souring and e-Auction, dashboards etc.
• Supporting position in the implementation and maintenance of global/regional contracts and best practice sharing throughout DFDS with the purpose of optimizing supplier performance and general efficiency.
• Job will require an estimation 10-15 travel days a year.
The ideal person for this position will have following qualifications:
• Preferably you have min. 2 years of experience from a procurement function covering strategic procurement, supplier performance/management and supply chain management.
• Outgoing, dynamic, proactive
• Experience and knowledge about tender processes, execution, and negotiation strategies
• Experience with the Marine industry
• Interest in the electricity market, charging equipment, solar panels and decarbonization in general Project management skills, including ability to develop business plans, plan a project, drive problem solving.
• Show interest and drive for projects supporting the DFDS green agenda.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a great ability to talk with stakeholders.
• Your English language skills, oral and written, are excellent and you are a proficient IT user.
• You thrive with creating data driven insights and can understand and scrutinize data in order to make business cases and enable strategic decisions.
• You liken data visualization.
• Embrace a flexible approach and capability to handle several projects at the time and projects within different categories.
• Advanced excel skills.
• Experience within e-Sourcing including e-Auctions is a plus.
• As a person you are result-oriented, you have strong analytical skills and focus on customer’s and stakeholders’ needs.
