As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Solution Architect for development and onboarding of new solutions on Vessel Insight

Kongsberg Digital’s Vessel Insight is our vessel to shore data infrastructure and key component driving the digitalization of the maritime industry.

Vessel Insight is our SaaS based offering spanning the OT and IT domain and based on modern cloud technology, like serverless and container-based, hosted on Microsoft Azure. The service enables capture of data onboard vessels, utilizing our own industrialized IoT Service, live transfer and storage in the cloud. Customers can use access the data through applications and services included in our maritime ecosystem.

What you will do:

• Have a central role in defining the technology & architecture roadmap for Vessel Insight.
• Work with and across highly competent development teams to transform your insights into projects and innovative platform solutions.
• Conduct experiments, test concepts and implement new solutions with partners and customers, including cloud components, information models, advanced analytics and applications for the open ecosystem.

To be successful in this role you must thrive in a dynamic environment and have a genuine passion for technology, IT architecture, digitalization and its application to business. Successfully working in projects with interdisciplinary teams, facilitating and leading workshops.

The platform is based on Microsoft Azure, our own software and open source technology.

You are a person who:

• Holds a BSc/ MSc or other education or experience relevant for the Solution Architect role.
• Has solid knowledge of modern cloud-based architecture. Experience with Microsoft Azure is of essence to the role, but as we are building a cross-functional team experience from AWS, Google Cloud
• Experience in engineering and delivery of impactful IT solutions at scale
• Likes to be close to the code, play with integrations and solve problems
