As our Solution Architect Maintenance, you will have the global responsibility for IT/digital solutions within the business area in Elkem. The primary role will be within Maintenance, but you will also support and be the main responsible for ensuring good solutions to the related business processes as purchase and logistics to ensure a holistic solution within maintenance both from an IT and business perspective.

Your role is to translate business needs to IT solution and enable all the business area to identify and make use of opportunities to automate and digitalize processes to improve efficiency for employees and leaders.

You will work closely with our process owners, business units and smelting plants, and have a key role in the achievement of strategic targets. Digitalization is an essential part of our strategy for further growth and development, and you will make a real impact on our digital transformation.

Most important areas of responsibility:​

• Translate business needs to IT solutions and own the overall technical vision
• Standardize and contribute to automate and digitize the maintenance processes
• Accountable for operations and support of a portfolio of applications
• Develop procedures and rules for management of data and structures
• Continuous improvement and ensure user-friendly solutions and adoption of the tools

Qualifications required for the position:​

• Bachelor or master degree in business economics, engineering, information systems or equivalent work experience
• Relevant experience from maintenance processes
• Experience within CMMS (preferably HxGN EAM) and IT implementation projects
• Knowledge of cloud-based solutions
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English

The position reports to Head of Business Applications in Elkem IT and is located in Oslo, Kristiansand or any of our Elkem sites in Norway.
