Within in the Business Area Production the Civil department plays an important role. The Civil team has a central role in Statkraft and provides governance and support for Statkraft’s dams, headraces, tailraces and civil structures. The unit has dam and civil experts who support projects and daily operations within hydropower.

 

The Civil Dam team consist today of three passionate Dam experts and we are now looking for new colleague for our team. As Statkraft is growing globally we are looking for someone who has a varied experience working with different types of Dams and geological challenges in Norway as well as globally.

 

Senior specialist dam/civil

 

Your role:

Your main areas of responsibility will include:

• You will contribute to strategic coordination and management of Statkraft’s dam portfolio
• Involved in contributing to effective governance
• Be a Technical expert supporting projects globally
• You will support and coordinate R&D​ activities in cooperation with the R&D team
• You will have the role as Civil expert in the verification team​
• ·       You will give Technical support in M&A’s​

Your profile:

• A passion for Dam safety
• MSc/BSc in civil engineering or equivalent
• Experience in fields related to Dam and Civil engineering in Norway as well as globally.
• Geotechnical and Geological experience
• High integrity and ethical values.
• Strong HSSE understanding and commitment.
• Ability to add value through continuous improvement.
• Willing to use new technology and digital tools as a way of working.
• Active communicator with good networking skills and an agile approach.
• Commercial and analytical mindset.
• You are flexible in terms of tasks and mobility as the role requires providing local support in country and/or at site for shorter or longer periods as agreed.
• Excellent communication skills in one of the Scandinavian languages and English, both orally and in writing.
• Competence in Spanish or Portuguese an advantage
