About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner / Scheduler with deep expertise in Infor VISUAL ERP (or Infor CloudSuite Industrial) to manage work order execution, scheduling, and capacity planning.  In this 3 month contract role, you will bridge the gap between engineering, sales orders, supply chain and manufacturing operations to maximize throughput and maintain high on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Finite Capacity Scheduling: Utilize Infor VISUAL’s Scheduling/Visual Concurrent Planner to build, optimize, and maintain realistic finite capacity schedules across all work centers.

  • Work Order & Routing Management: Generate, release, and track shop floor work orders, ensuring accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and operational routings.

  • Bottleneck Analysis: Identify shop floor constraints, labor shortages, and material delays; adjust schedules dynamically to minimize downtime.

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Lead daily production huddles with Production staff, periodic meetings with Purchasing, Sales, and Engineering to resolve shortages, delays and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).

  • Inventory & MRP Control: Monitor material availability against production schedules using Infor MRP to prevent shortages without overstocking work-in-progress.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Direct ERP Experience: Must have 3+ years of hands-on experience using Infor VISUAL for production scheduling and capacity planning.

  • Manufacturing Background: 5+ years in a discrete manufacturing environment, leading process and change

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding scheduling, workorders, BOM structures, and MRP logic.

  • Communication: Excellent problem-solving skills with the confidence to communicate priority changes directly with shop floor leaders and plant management.

  • Education: Diploma or degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience.
