Job Summary
Work as a petroleum engineer within the Kurdistan Development team to provide critical expertise flow assurance and well/ network modelling of Tawke Cretaceous Field. Work undertaken will have a direct impact on the business decisions made by the Company. This position is a fixed term 3 months assignment. 

 

Key Responsibilities

• Data inputs detailed review included but not limited to PVT, fluid viscosity, well and reservoir related data along with surface network/ pipeline data (flow line length, elevation profiles and diameters).

• Review of well test data including test separator and MPFM data

• Well and network model construction and model calibration

• Parametric sensitivity analysis consisting of:
  o Demonstration of the flexibility of model for day to day optimisation work
  o Completion of the agreed sensitivity runs
  o Preparation of the final report detailing the total project
  o Presentation of the models, results of the sensitivity studies, and any recommendations and/or conclusions

• Recommend data acquisition program if required

• Technical note summarizing the data reviewed and detailing data deficiencies

• Technical note and presentation to highlight main assumptions and challenges

• Assess performance-related issues, to identify remediation options, to improve rate performance

 

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 15+ years of experience in the E&P Industry. Extensive experience with an operator

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of diagnosis of well and network modeling in fractured carbonates reservoirs, including open hole segmented completion and ESP flow

• Experience modeling complex network systems with large elevation changes.

• Flow assurance expertise, including emulsion and how these affects MPFM measurements., along with understanding of slug flow and flow instability in surface lines

• Specialist within well and network modelling. Key applications including Prosper, Gap, Mbal, PVTP and Resolve

• Specialist within well test design and interpretation

• Specialist within PVT analysis and modeling (EOS) - Black oil creation and validation
