We are looking for a collaborative and reliable Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Deck Machinery team. We are looking to broaden our portfolio of products within the renewable markets such as offshore wind. With us you will contribute to the development of new and exciting products. We develop, deliver and maintain automated handling systems for complex marine operations. We encourage candidates with operational experience from the maritime industry and/or experienced engineers to apply.

 

Our Deck Machinery and Motion Control division owns, develops and delivers world class handling solutions, with focus on system solutions and integration driving increased efficiency in our customers' operations. The division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritime’s winches and handling solutions.

 

Key accountabilities

• Lead the development of new products, systems and concepts
• Take an active role in shaping the product area in close collaboration with key industry players
• Multi-discipline collaboration within the different divisions in Kongsberg
• Execute and coordinate customer deliveries
• Contribute to team; socially and professionally

Qualifications and experience

• Degree within mechanical engineering
• Strong competence within mechanical 3D-design
• Experience with system integration
• Experience from working with project execution and customer interaction
• Practical experience from maritime industry or experience from offshore marine operations is an advantage
• Commercial mindset
