We're looking for a Senior HR Generalist who thrives in a fast-paced environment on a part-time basis (20-24hr/week) for 6 months with view to extend. This is an opportunity to be more than an HR advisor—you'll be a trusted partner to leaders, an advocate for employees, and a driving force behind building an engaging, high-performing workplace.  Supporting employees and leaders, you'll influence the entire employee experience, from recruitment and onboarding to leadership coaching, employee relations, payroll, compliance, and culture. What You’ll Do:

As our Senior HR Generalist, you'll partner with leaders across the business to create a workplace where people feel supported, engaged, and empowered to do their best work.  You'll balance strategic initiatives with hands-on HR operations, providing practical advice, improving processes, and helping leaders confidently navigate the moments that matter most.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values collaboration, and wants to make a meaningful impact across the employee lifecycle.

Strategic Advisory: Partner with business leaders to build high-performing teams, provide actionable coaching, and navigate complex people decisions.

HR Operations & Process Improvement: Rebuild, elevate, and maintain core HR workflows, policies, and performance management frameworks.

Employee Relations & Culture: Serve as an advocate for employees and maintain a strong presence on the workshop floor to build trust across all levels.

Core HR Administration: Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, leaves of absence, ROEs, WCB, and compliance with Canadian employment laws.

 

What You’ll Bring:

We're looking for someone who combines strong HR expertise with genuine curiosity, sound judgment, and a passion for helping people succeed.

  • 7+ years of progressive HR / People Business Partner experience, ideally with some time spent supporting tech, manufacturing or high-growth organizations.
  • Highly  skilled in influencing without authority and communicating clearly with executives, managers, and employees.
  • Deep experience across core People domains, including performance management, talent development, compensation, employee relations, benefits including payroll and compliance.
  • Ability to navigate and get involved in both hands-on execution and strategic ownership.
  • Strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relations, people management and training
  • Experience developing process, policies and workflows to support leaders with employee relations, recruitment and team development.
  • Experience rebuilding or elevating performance management frameworks and guiding managers through active performance coaching and upskilling.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Experience administering payroll, benefits, disability programs, leaves of absence, ROEs, WCB
  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience and or a certification in change management / project management.

The Following Would Be Considered Assets:

  • CPHR designation is considered an asset.

Pay Range: $85,000-$100,000 FTE
