As part of our R&D PosCom department, you will contribute to the development of new and exciting products, as well as keeping our existing product portfolio at a competitive level. The PosCom department focuses on underwater positioning and communication systems, including wideband transceivers, acoustic transducers, and autonomous acoustic solutions. Our products are used in several demanding underwater operations within research and energy worldwide. Our products consist of GUI, signal processing, sensor integration, electronics and mechanical modules.

Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Electronics Engineer to join our PosCom R&D team. You will contribute to the development of high-performance electronics for underwater acoustic communication and positioning systems. This includes both new product development and sustaining engineering for existing platforms.
- Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronics for underwater acoustic systems.
- Develop electronics for extreme performance in harsh marine environments using components such as FPGAs, processors, and high-speed data converters.
- Design controlled impedance multi-layer PCBs using high-speed technologies.
- Implement signal conditioning and processing circuits.
- Integrate standard digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet).
- Develop power electronics including DC/DC converters for battery-powered systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical, software, and acoustic engineers in multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform hands-on verification, debugging, and testing of prototypes.
- Support manufacturing and test development teams with design-for-test and troubleshooting.
- BSc or MSc in Electronics Engineering, Cybernetics, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
- Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, Python).
- Experience in electronics development for maritime, defense, telecom, avionics or automotive
- Knowledge of underwater acoustics and transducer interfacing is advantageous.
- Fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are considered positive
