Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Electronics Engineer to join our PosCom R&D team. You will contribute to the development of high-performance electronics for underwater acoustic communication and positioning systems. This includes both new product development and sustaining engineering for existing platforms.

In this role you will

• Design and develop analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronics for underwater acoustic systems.
• Develop electronics for extreme performance in harsh marine environments using components such as FPGAs, processors, and high-speed data converters.
• Design controlled impedance multi-layer PCBs using high-speed technologies.
• Implement signal conditioning and processing circuits.
• Integrate standard digital interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, Ethernet).
• Develop power electronics including DC/DC converters for battery-powered systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, and acoustic engineers in multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform hands-on verification, debugging, and testing of prototypes.
• Support manufacturing and test development teams with design-for-test and troubleshooting.

Qualification and experience

• BSc or MSc in Electronics Engineering, Cybernetics, Physics, or a related field.
• Experience with PCB design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence).
• Familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., LTSpice, Python).
• Experience in electronics development for maritime, defense, telecom, avionics or automotive
• Knowledge of underwater acoustics and transducer interfacing is advantageous.
• Fluent in English; Norwegian language skills are considered positive
