We are looking for a collaborative and reliable Senior Concept Engineer to join our Deck Machinery team. We are looking to broaden our portfolio of products within the renewable markets such as offshore wind. With us you will contribute to the development of new and exciting products. We develop, deliver and maintain automated handling systems for complex marine operations. We encourage experienced engineers with maritime industry and/or operational knowledge to apply.

 

Our Deck Machinery and Motion Control division owns, develops and delivers world class handling solutions, with focus on system solutions and integration driving increased efficiency in our customers' operations. The division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritime’s winches and handling solutions.

 

Key accountabilities

• Lead tender activities within offshore marine operation, for example equipment for anchor handling vessels
• Participate in shaping the product area in close collaboration with key industry players
• Lead concept development studies for large renewable projects
• Multi-discipline collaboration within the different divisions in Kongsberg
• Execute and coordinate customer tenders
• Contribute to team; socially and professionally

Qualifications and experience

• Degree within automation or mechanical engineering
• Experience with system integration
• Experience from working with project execution and customer interaction
• Practical experience from maritime industry or offshore marine operations
• Relevant practical competence can compensate for formal theoretical competence
• Competence within mechanical 3D-design is an advantage
• Commercial mindset
