Senior Asset Performance Engineer – Hydro power

 We are now looking for a new colleague capable of developing and implementing a strategy for rolling out condition monitoring services at our hydro power plants. We are currently preparing grounds for such a rollout.

The asset performance management unit (PTMA) drives and supports development of industrial scale asset performance management services and tools. We are supporting performance excellence in the operation and maintenance process. Through pilot projects, we have successfully proven value of digital condition monitoring. The unit has a broad geographical, organisational, and technical scope. Key customers are asset owners and power plant managers across the Statkraft group. Hence, the unit works closely with the power plant groups. The unit consists of 8 highly qualified and motivated colleagues. 

 

As a Senior asset performance analyst  your primary responsibilities will be to take a strategic and leading role in developing and implement tools and services related to digital condition monitoring at the hydro power plants. 

  • Identifying and processing needs for services and tools supporting performance excellence at the power plants 
  • Facilitating development and implementation of advanced analytical tools in the power plant groups as well as in expert teams. Tools in question are anomaly detectors, visualisations and dashboards 
  • Manage planning and implementation of foundation work for the analytical tools 
    • Signal mapping and entry in analysis system  
    • Master data collection and entry in analysis systems 
  • In cooperation with the power plant groups, technical experts and Statkraft’s IT resources to manage and ensure value capture of the implemented tools 

 

About you:  

We look for a Senior Specialist with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions in the Nordics. That includes:  

  • Master’s degree in engineering or science  
  • Experience in operations and maintenance of power plants or other large scale industrial operations  
  • Documented analytical skills. Familiar with modern digital tools, handling of large amounts of data  
  • Strong understanding of the complex systems a of hydro power plant or similar 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong interest in operations and maintenance of power plants or other large scale industrial operations.  
  • Strong ability to communicate potential, technical options and purpose of digital condition monitoring.  
  • Structured, systematic and enduring  
  • Ability to manage, motivate and engage
