An exciting opportunity awaits you as Sales Support Engineer in our Propulsion and Handling division at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will be a part of the Sales Support team in Merchant Handling business, delivering support to our external and internal customers worldwide during sales projects. The core task of our team is to understand the business, operational practices, and technical requirements of various vessel segments. Based on this understanding we provide solutions and sales arguments across the organization.

 We are looking for someone who is proactive, structured, self-driven and cooperative to support key stakeholders in smooth execution of sales processes. You will be working closely with the Product Management, Delivery organization and Supply Chain and together with our Global Sales teams to deliver and promote technically sound solutions to our external and internal customers worldwide.

Key accountabilities

• Sales Process Support: Act as a contact point between Sales and Product organizations.
• Offer Management: Support Sales Managers with scoping, costing, pricing, hedging, and sales documentation.
• Technical & Product Support: Evaluate and propose selection of suitable winch configuration(s) to fulfill customer requirements.
• Sales Tools Coordination: Assist with product sales tool cost and content updates.
• Process Improvement: Improve internal processes and tools between Engineering, Sales Support and Sales.

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering in a relevant field is preferred. Other fields of education or relevant experience can compensate for preferred education.
• Proactive and customer focused mindset.
• Understanding of mechanical engineering or hydraulics can be seen as an advantage.
• Fluent spoken and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work alone and as part of a team.
