Researcher position in epidemiology and statistics in ophthamology

This one-year 50% position as Researcher in Epidemiology and Statistics in Ophthalmology is available at the Center for Eye Research and Innovative Diagnostics (CERID), Department of Ophthalmology, Oslo University Hospital. Department of Ophthalmology has a total staff of nearly 300 employees, 10 operating theatres and 5 clean rooms, a dedicated postoperative unit, and a ward with 15 beds. Most of the surgical procedures are performed as day surgery. The Department has competence in all major fields of ophthalmology, including national, multi-regional and regional functions.

Kvalifikasjoner:
The CERID has a strategic ambition of being a leader in eye- and vision-related research in Norway and internationally. Candidates for this Researcher position will be selected in accordance with this and they are expected to be in the upper segment of their class with respect to research and academic credentials:
- Ph.D. degree or equivalent in epidemiology, statistics
- Foreign completed degree (Ph.D.-level) corresponding to a minimum of four years in the Norwegian educational system
- Experience with medical and ophthalmology research, epidemiology or statistics, preferably in ophthalmology
