We are seeking a skilled and motivated Researcher/Bioinformatician to join our Precision Medicine team to cover a maternity leave. The position is an 80 percent temporary position.

We are focused on the implementation of extended molecular diagnostics using next-generation sequencing (NGS) for personalised cancer treatment and inclusion in clinical studies. The activities of this position are closely related to the national network InPreD (Infrastructure for Precision Diagnostics). The successful candidate will support ongoing projects on genomics, focusing on NGS data analysis and computational workflows. Kvalifikasjoner:

Required:

• PhD within Bioinformatics or related discipline. MSc will be considered with proven experience.
• Experience working with NGS data, including common file formats and standard bioinformatics methods.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently within a team environment.
• Working language: English

Desirable:

• Previous experience working in a research or clinical genomics setting.
• Experience with data generated by TSO500 Illumina panel.
• Experience with TSD.
• Containerisation technologies (docker, singularity/apptainer).
• Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab or similar.
• Norwegian language proficiency.
