Our Laboratory department in Kristiansand is on the lookout for a new team member to join our team as we innovate towards continuously improving existing and develop new measurement systems.
We are seeking a candidate with strong understanding of analytical chemistry, scientific communication skills and capable of systematic planning and hands-on execution on projects and method development.
The Laboratory is a culturally diverse team of highly qualified professionals that carry out innovation projects and analytical method development.

Most important areas of responsibility:

• Method development and QA of advanced and new chemical techniques
• Lead and manage R&D projects related to processes, products, and measurements
• Contribute to Operational Excellence within Elkem’s divisions and plants
• Stay up to date on analytical techniques and new possibilities with measurement technologies

Qualifications required for the position:

• PhD or Master’s degree in relevant areas, preferably within analytical chemistry
• Competence within Statistics, TOS and/or Quality Assurance
• Preferably experience from project management
• Preferably industrial experience
• Good communication skills in Norwegian and English are a must

The position reports to the Department Manager in Elkem Technology lab. Location is Kristiansand, Norway.
