En spennende mulighet har oppstått som FoU mekanisk designer i Kongsberg Discovery. Stillingen er i vår avdeling for Ocean Technology R&D, som designer undervannsakustiske systemer. Kollegene dine er ledende eksperter innen akustikk, elektronikk og signalbehandling, lidenskapelig opptatt av arbeidet sitt og klare til å dele sin kunnskap.

Vi designer de akustiske transduserne for våre produkter; sonarer, ekkolodd og multistråle ekkolodd for havbunnskartlegging, fiskeleting og undervannskommunikasjonsprodukter. Vi fokuserer på og optimaliserer god design praksis, ytelse og effektivitet. Ansvarsområder

• Ansvarlig for mekanisk design i elektroakustiske transdusere
• Produksjon av prototyper i samarbeid med egen industrialiseringsavdeling og mekanisk verksted
• Testing av nye materialer og bruk av ny materialteknologi
• Delta i automatisering av produksjon

Kvalifikasjoner og erfaring

• Master i mekanisk design/produktutvikling og produksjon
• Mekanisk design og 3D-modellering
• Styrkeberegning og dimensjonering (FEM-metoden)
• Gjerne erfaring med maskiner fra verksted/produksjon etc.

An exciting opportunity has arisen as R&D Mechanical Designer at Kongsberg Discovery. The position is in our department for Ocean Technology R&D, designing underwater acoustic systems. Your coworkers are leading experts in acoustics, electronics and signal processing, passionate about their work and ready to share their knowledge.

We are designing the acoustic transducers for our products; sonars, echosounders and multi beams for seabed mapping, fish finding and underwater communication products. We focus on and optimize good design practice, performance and efficiency. If you are highly motivated to work with innovation and seek an opportunity to specialize and work with advanced challenges in mechanical design for electro acoustic transducer development, you could be the right one for our team.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for the mechanical design within the electro acoustical transducers.
• Production of prototypes in collaboration with own Industrialization department and mechanical workshop.
• Testing of new materials and making use of new material technology.
• Participate in automating production.

Qualification and experience

• Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.
• Mechanical design and 3D modelling.
• Strength calculation and dimensioning (FEM method).
• Preferably experience with machines from workshop / production etc.
