QHSE Manager

The Handling Business Unit is a leading supplier of handling system technology within selected markets such as offshore, including offshore wind installation, naval and research. The Business Unit is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery of high quality, high value products, essential to our customers operation of their vessels.

Our portfolio consists of specialised winches and handling systems, such as, but not limited to; replenishment at sea systems, anchor handling towing winches, position mooring and launch and recovery systems. We provide systems providing both mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, automation and digital capabilities. Handling is a growth segment for Kongsberg Maritime, both in traditional offshore markets and the emerging renewables and digital services markets where we are well positioned to take a leading role. We are operating across several sites in Norway and the UK.

As QHSE Manager, you will lead all QHSE activities and be reporting to the SVP for the Business Unit. We believe you are pragmatic, and capable of balancing dilemmas and having a business perspective. To succeed in this role, you need to be visible and have a strong commitment to creating a culture of quality.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the Handling BU is compliant with required regulations, ISO standards, KOG and KM strategies and processes for planning, monitoring, and supporting QHSE activities.
  • Own BU improvement plan, actively lead improvement process and projects. Contribute to implementation and follow-up of committed tasks.
  • Ensure professional Risk Management practices in the Business Unit.
  • Lead and contribute proactivity through QHSE awareness, training, risk management, audit program and management reviews.
  • Support managers and employees in the Business unit on QHSE issues. Be the go-to person for guidance and provide hands-on assistance.
  • Collaborate with division lead on QHSE through implementation of processes, tools, projects and more.
  • Contribute across divisional projects when needed.

Qualifications and experience

  • Formal qualifications within QHSE, and good knowledge of QHSE standards and project work including methods and tools.
  • Experience with engaging and building a business unit with a strong QHSE focus.
  • Experience with leading and influence changes and improvements throughout an organization.
  • You are pragmatic, and capable of balancing dilemmas and having a business perspective.
  • Insight and experience in engineering, risk and project management as well as in formal investigation process.
