An exciting opportunity has arisen as a Project Engineer within Vessel Systems. Vessel Systems is a delivery unit in Kongsberg Maritime and are responsible for our core markets. Vessel Systems Hardware Engineering & Support Offshore delivers ship automation systems to vessels worldwide. Our projects are new shipbuilding with integrated automation systems, control systems and dynamic positioning systems. We deliver our products to all types of vessels in the market. Our department is responsible for engineering of our deliveries for the offshore market, in close cooperation with project managers within this segment. We are looking to strengthen our team with new project engineers. Based on this we are looking for engineers with the applicable competence and profile.

The position reports to Manager HW Engineering & Support Offshore, Vessel Control Systems.

 

 Main tasks and responsibilities

• Hardware engineering; technical documentation and drawings
• Ordering hardware to project deliveries
• Follow-up project plans/deliveries
• Supporting classification related tasks
• Assist project manager in daily tasks
• Limited travelling might be required

 

Requirements

• Educated from technical or maritime university, Bachelor of Science or similar
• Technical work experience may compensate for formal education
• Experience from hardware engineering is beneficial
• Fluency in English, both verbal and in writing
